Platform Securities Employees Go Over the Edge for Charity

On September 16th, 2017, five brave employees from Platform Securities raised more than £2,500 for Edward’s Trust by rappelling 170 feet down a local hotel.

The intrepid employees braved inclement weather and a slippery sided building to make the descent, undertaking this daring feat to raise funds to support bereaved families in the local area.

Edward’s Trust provides holistic family bereavement services supporting children, young people and parents across the West Midlands. Their service extends to a full programme of bereavement support including; one-to-one counselling, support groups, specialist respite bereavement retreats, children’s social activities and a wellbeing service. They support over 600 families every year.

The Edward’s Trust charity is moving locations this year, and the monies raised are sufficient to fully equip two new wellbeing therapy rooms that are crucial to serving children and adults that have recently suffered a loss in their family. More information on Edward’s Trust can be found at https://edwardstrust.org.uk.
